That's about the most generous thing you could say about that.

GM should hunt down the dealer that did that and pull his allocation of V models.

Actually, the dealer might not have done it automatically--moreso, it was likely some old timer with bad taste (gee, like that's a rarity...) who was just trading in his Seville/Deville that had a stupid roof on it and he/she HAD to have one on the new car, whether it's a sports sedan or not.

There's a similar one near my house--a really old little lady has a White Diamond '03 CTS with the Lux. Package (16" polished wheels), Neutral leather, and a matching Neutral fake convertible top. Based on these colors, it isn't as hideous as the silver on in that pic, but it still made me scream "NO!!" when I saw her driving around the first time!

Do you think the people that actually install these tops are cracking up the whole time they are putting it on?

Chrysler was very mad at dealers for doing this to the 300C. But, urban dealers had so much demand for it they told Chrysler to bug off.

The dealer here on Cape Cod actually had one of them on the lot for a while it was called the

"Cape Cod Edition" had the top and everything, i think it was blue chip though...

never cared for it myself, but alot of older buyers are more welcoming to the CTS with the fake top on it like that.

Of course, there will be somebody who thinks it's "tight", or "pimp"...

Not me. That thing is ugly.
