    I've had enough

For the most part it has been a great ride with the CTS but in the past year I've had nothing but problems and the clatter under the hood is getting louder so before any more money is put into this car I am trading it in. I had hoped to buy/lease a 2014 CTS but I am not going to wait and buying what I said I would never get, a mini van. Having 2 young boys changes your mind as they are what is important in my life.

The members here have been great, very helpful and it is enjoyable to come to this forum. Thanks to those who have offered me help and advice over the years.

    Cheers.

    Re: I've had enough

A CTS to a minivan? Man card revoked! I would have at least compromised with the wife and gotten an SUV of some sort...That's a shame.

That's a rough trade off man, sorry to see that happen to you. Good luck with that minivan

That is a rough trade haha, but understandable. Seems like this is happening more and more as our cars get older though. Good luck with the mini

It's probably going to happen more, just as mentioned..the cars are getting older. 2007 was 6 years ago and most of these cars will be over 100k in the next year or so. Not that 100k is a lot but 7 years can be a long time with a car. For some reason Americans trade out of perfectly good cars far earlier than the rest of the world. These cars will go hundreds of thousands of miles but the age eventually starts to show.

My 03 now has 130k miles, knock on keys I've only had to due routine work and replace the battery. I don't think I'll ever be able to buy another brand after owning this car. To much comfort and style.

Gotta agree with the other posters here. Surely you could find a used SRX somewhere?
However, before you buy that minivan, here's something worth reading:

From the article, I love this quote:
"Whether your money goes to a divorce lawyer or a car company makes no difference.'

Thanks for the article CTS-QC but it is a done deal. CTS gone and mini van (Sienna SE) is bought. I could have bought a SRX but I am not fond of the squarish one and the current one is too cramp for my liking and needs. The Escalade gas guzzling is too much for me monetary wise and the hybrid even more so.

    Thanks guys and take care.
