Cadillac CTS with all kinds of mods

Just wanted to put some pics up of some of the many modifications I have done to my 2006 CTS.
The car came stock with the sport package and sport appearance package which includes:

    18" wheels
    Sport grill
    Rear spoiler
    Two tone leather seating
    Enlarged brakes and pads
    Dual exhaust
Not sure if I'm missing anything else, but here are the mods I added:

    CTS V front end modification
    Clear fog lights/driving lights
    Clear corners
    HID fog lights
5% tint all the way around
    Kenwood DNX 9990hd
(Comes with HD radio, satellite radio, navigation, back up camera, bluetooth, and much more)
    7" tv in passenger visor
    Suede headliner and posts
    Locking safe underneath center console
Lloyd luxe floor mats with embroidered Cadillac emblem
Infinity Kappa door speakers and tweeters
    JL W3 12" subwoofer
JL 360 watt 2 channel amp for sub
JL 360 watt 4 channel amp for door speakers
    iPod touch fabricated into ashtray
    LED lighting throughout interior

Looks great. I just did the v bumper on mine also and kept the sport grill. I think it looks great!

Yeah, I love it with the sport grill instead of the V grill. Didn't want to make it look like I was trying to imitate having a V, but all in all, I actually think the sport grill looks better.

Do you know how I can post more than one pic? I resized it to what it says and it still keeps telling me I'm exceeding the limits... Is there a paid version of this app that let's you upload more pics or something?

Upload your pics to photobucket or similar hosting site. Then go to the pic and copy the URL and paste it on you thread and it's all done

And installing a V bumper will not?

The car looks great that's all that counts.
When I got my CTS I wanted the sport grille, looked at the $300 price difference decided I'd rather sink that money in performance mods and got a V grille of ebay for $90 bucks, powder coated it black and called it a day. Am I trying to imitate a V? Not really just don't like the stock grile that much and the V grille when powder coated looks great.

Forward a couple of years my car gets rear ended and the dealer had the V rear bumper for me at no extra cost to me. Why would I not take it? it lLooks much nicer and especially when free! I say mod your car to your liking and enjoy.

I have heard emitating a V opinion so many times here and on other forums, as long as someone isn't throwing fake badges around then God speed

Other manufacturers offer apperance packages for stock cars BMW does it, Lexus does it and who cares really, why wouldn't someone want their car to look more sporty without throwing $20,000 more to obtain said apperance package?

    Just my.02 cents

@mjones6861 your CTS looks clean as hell. I've been trying to find those clear fogs for weeks, where did you get yours?

How did you do the iPod touch fabricated into ashtray? Does the ashtray close with the iPod in it and can you easily take the iPod out? Could you have put an iPhone in there in place of the iPod touch?

    I found this old thread:
    http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...tray-ipod.html

    Is this the same mod?

Re: Cadillac CTS with all kinds of mods

Maybe the OP went from JL9 to JE5 brakes, that would make them a little bigger.

Why would you need a predesigned kit? Yoou could call Wilwood or Stoptech or any of the usual vendors and ask them to build a kit for you based on your needs.
Thats not what hes talking about, anyhow. Hes referring to the larger brakes that came with his CTS from the factory, part of the Sport Performance package.

Two-tone leather seating, dual exhaust, and enlarged rotors (pads are the same size, just different material, ime) had nothing to do with the Sport package or the Sport Appearance package. The two tone leather seating was optional on all engines and packages. The dual exhuast was standard on 3.6L, yours just came with nice exhaust tips. The enlarged rotors were part of the Sport Performance package. The Sport package came standard with 17s. There were 2 sets of 18s, the common 12 spokers, and the much less common 9 spokers... One set came with the Sport Appearance package, one set came with the Sport Performance package.
