    Re: Intake manifold

Haven't gotten it bolted on yet.. added another 1/4" of material on the baseplate where it bolts to the lower intake, so now the bolts I ordered are too short. Now I'm just waiting on the new ones which I've been tracking online, they should be in tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed

Got it bolted on and running, gotta do some tacking tho I have a light vacuum leak somewhere so it runs rough. I'll find it and get it running 100% within the next few days.

It's at a family members shop right now getting resurfaced. I almost lost my mind trying to find little pin hole leaks in the manifold, when it turns out the base plate got warped on two cylinders from welding. When bench pressure testing the manifold would hold 50+psi no problem but take off the rubber blocks from the bench test and then try to bolt it to another piece of steel you can see a small gap. Depending on how busy they are I should get it back within a few days.

There's been quite a bit of progress the last few days. This morning the manifold was taken to Wixom MI to gm's r&d test center. In order for me to market the manifold it has to be tested for certain things(safety and what not). While it's there they are doing a bench flow test to see how much more... Or less air travels through it.
Depending on how much that's going to run me, I may have them dyno it as well. But as of right now I'm kinda nervous as to what they say. Should hear back by Monday.
