If it nets 10hp/10tq I could envision up to a $400 price tag. What would be cool is if just sourced intakes out of junkyards for $25 that's a nice profit if you could get it done within a day or so worth of work. I would work for $375 a day lol.

    Re: Intake manifold

Part of your R&D for this project is going to have to include a basline dyno. And a separate dyno done with the ONLY thing different being your intake manifold. If you find that you can get noticeable results from a modified stock intake, I will sign up for a group buy.

Agreed. Definitely need baseline dyno and final dyno. And since you have 2 manifolds..it may be a good idea to drive a hundred miles or so between the change to allow the computer to adjust. Although for those of us who are pushing upwards of 300crank..it could mean its time for a tune as well haha.

BUT, I don't see how we could do a group buy for a regular guy who is custom fabbing them one at a time haha. Not like he'd have 30 sitting in his Garage overnight.

Yea hardest part seems like having enough to meet demand. And as far as fabrication goes the intake runners themselfs are going to be the hardest part. Currently looking into a making a tool to bend the intake runner and set up for mass production.

    Re: Intake manifold

Are you changing the length or diameter of the runnners? Designing an intake manifold can be a very time consuming frustrating adventure...cool that youve found a shop to work with! Looking forward to the before/after dyno runs.

If before/after runs are needed for him to show gains, how can you make any claims about your mods when you only have the AFTER dyno run?

The ~50hp increase is an assumed increase based off SAE dyno numbers for the stock ly7. When I posted numbers for the TB I had and posted both before and after numbers. I had no reason to put my car on a dyno at first because I didn't care about what the hp was or what you guys think. I never said what each mod exactly made (besides the TB) just gustimated.. Even if it's not exactly a 50 hp increase, the numbers don't lie. It's still about right at 300bhp.. The only reason I even put my car on the dyno was to help VMAX test their TB, which I believe is almost complete. Lets not hijack this tread. I don't want to ruin what looks to be something good coming up. If you want to talk more go to one of the tb/rx threads or whatever and post or pm me.

No pictures just yet, dont wanna ruin the surprise lol. However the intake will be 100% different from the stock manifold and the cpr6 (I think thats what its called) to avoid patenting issues.
