    Transmission over heat

What is the cause of this? Only happened twice now, on the highway. Should I get my transmission looked at? Or just add some conditioner? Please help.

It looks like he has a 2003 CTS from his other 2 posts. In any event this is really, really in the wrong forum. off we go.

ballerwithabudget, please use the Profile and Settings tabs to update your profile with your car, year, model: The Cadillacs I Drive area. It sure makes diagnosis easier. Also, before you shotgun out a post, read the descriptive text in the forum title to find out what's supposed to be posted there - your post has nothing to do with warranty, extended warranty, or dealership problems. Thanks for the consideration, CF Staff.

I would check your lines to the radiator and check to see if your getting any atf traces in your main coolant, the trans lines run through the radiator to cool them, if these are not working/blocked thats never good for the trans, also worth checking your oil levels in your trans too, new atf wont go a miss and a filter, if it comes out all black though chances are your friction materials are wearing.

Short answer is yes get it looked at.

Before you blow a gasket, check to see if you are in the forum you think you are. This is not the warranty forum. You owe someone an apology. I would not expect a response with your tone coming from a Moderator.

Submariner actually moved the thread from the warranty section. When this thread was originally posted on July 31, it was in the Cadillac Customer section.

Every thread that is in the wrong section gets moved. But a "forward" link is left in the original section for a couple of days. So that the OP can go to where they originally post and still be able to find the thread, or forward link rather.
