    Re: 2005 CTS Paint Chipping

Not big strips like that but, I do have pock marks down to the metal, all over the hood and front bumper of my car. On top of that I have noticed my paint fading/gray'ed out areas on the roof and the rear pillars. It's at the point where no level of detailing will fix it and i'll eventually just have to spend the money and get the car re painted or say **** it, spend 400$ and plasti dip it matte black. Haven't decided yet.

Those strips are plastic so it's common for paint to come off. You can prime and paint it yourself. You can also take it to a paint shop if you arent handy with paint work.
