RED on display at startup- what does it mean?

    Hi guys,
For my first post I'm hoping you can help me make heads or tails of the "RED" message displayed on my 2005 CTS.

I just bought this car a couple days ago. The RPO codes make it plain that it was a National Rental car. It was manufactured in early August 2004 in Lansing, Michigan and has the 3.6L V6, no XM radio, no navigation, Gen 6 analog OnStar, and what I assume to be a single CD player.

If I forgot to mention something signifcant, please let me know.

All that said, what does "RED" mean?

That is the name that was programmed into the DIC by the PO...Scroll through the Setup options and you'll figure out where to change it....

My STS says "Enjoy!" when I fire her up!

    BTW...

I managed to annoy a friend by changing it to "hey dumbass" numerous times.

I'm boring. Mine just flashes my name, just in case I forget who I am.

Oh ok, so it's like a personalized welcome screen.

I should change it to "NSA link activated" or something like that to generate conversation!
