    Question about tires / rims

So stock rims and tires on my 04 CTS are 225/55/16 tires with a 5 bolt 115 mm offset on the rims. Correct me if im wrong.

Found a pretty good deal on some 18 inch rims, 5 bolt 114.3 mm offset and 235/45/18 tires.

As far as I know, these should fit my car fine without any issues. I just wanted to make sure before I spend the money, can anyone confirm this for me?

    Thanks

Re: Question about tires / rims

    What width? Offset? Hub bore?

    Wrong bolt pattern?

Yes, wrong bolt pattern. Not "close enough". When the lug nuts are torqued, all of the hardened (read: fairly brittle) studs are being bent inwards. At the same time, the lug seating surfaces are getting galled.

The term "5x115mm offset" is wrong. Offset has nothing to do with bolt pattern diameter. The wheel width and relation to hub face is used for offset comments.
