Trying to by pass my ABS module so I don't have to fix it! Lol I don't wanna pay $1800 to fix it. Also I found out my car has been in an accident and wasn't told about it when I bought it.

Nothing new with the previous accident. One of the reasons why "car fax" is such a freaken joke. Two of my cars had a clean car fax. But both were in a car accident before me.

Yea I don't understand. I'm in Canada and it's called a carproff and well it didn't tell me if I had any thing wrong like the accident. They should of told me cause I've already fixed the coolant and the radiator ($1000) for that. Now this is $1800 minimum. I just don't want anything else go wrong after I fix this.

As posted, there is no way to disable ABS. What codes are you getting?

Carfax, Carpeoof, it doesn't matter, they're all essentially useless. All information is voluntary.

"Hey honey, I took out a deer with the CTS on the way home. Call Carpeoof and let them know, would you...".

How do you guys figure there's no way to disable ABS? If it doesn't get power, it doesn't work. There's a 50A fuse for ABS in the fuse box - remove it. Or unplug the harness from the ABS unit. Tadaaaa! ABS disabled.

It's already not working, which results in codes and warning messages/lights. It's "disabled" now. Removing a fuse will have the same effect.

I assume he's looking for a way to disable it so that the warning messages stop, which is not possible.

First step is codes and definitions.

I changed the deck so it's just a radio. I don't have the message center anymore. I just have the lights.

    Makes no difference.

Where did you get the $1,800 quote?
    What was the diagnosis?

And what did they say was wrong?

Go to AutoZone, have them pull the codes. List them, AND THEIR DEFINITIONS, here.

I'd have the codes pulled myself. List them here when you do.

If it is the EBTCM, used is A LOT cheaper.
