Oil changed still 0% and Change Oil Soon

So I just did an oil change on my 2004 CTS. I got the message Change Oil Soon right before I did the job. I did the job no hiccups and now I can't get the message to go away, nor can I get the life % to reset.

I have a NAV unit and I have tried the info Engine Oil Life holding the reset button down method, but no dice. It goes to XXX% for a few moments but then back to 0%, and the change oil soon continues to show up on the NAV on start up and occasionally during a drive

The oil was filled with 5W-30 SAE and I replaced a mobile one filter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, it is more of an inconvenience than a serious issue as I know the oil is clean.

    Thanks,

    Dave
