If you could have some options that werent available on any 1st CTS, V or V6, what would they be? Maybe its a turbo on your V6, or a DCT? Full leather interior including doors and dash and a tablet-based driver interface? AWD? Wagon? Coupe? Vertical and horizontal adjusting headlights? Cadillac-style vertical LED tailights?

Id like a DCT and the magnetic suspension.

Re: If you could have one option that wasnt OEM...

I would want a polyurethane bushing option.
Or a Vee-Jr option, where my V6 already came with the CTS-V springs/sways/shocks/exhaust.
Or turn signals on the front of the side-view mirror housings.
An LED lighting option would have been nice, even better standard (I swear LED's existed in 2003).

But given that I did not buy my car new, I didnt get to pick my options anyways.

LEDs them selfs has been around longer you've been alive, 1927 actually. But weren't being used until the late 60's

But as for use on cars. Well the way the law was written, LEDs weren't allowed to be used. Despite the fact they were bright enough or brighter than regular bulbs. The way the law was written, it went by "wattage" of the bulb. Since LEDs can produce the same light or brighter but use half or less than half of their regular bulb counterparts. LEDs couldn't legally be used.

As you know, it takes an act of congress to change the law. Lol

There are laws on the wattage of bulb to be used inside a car? Why, in the name of God(s) and all that is holy, do we allow there to be so many petty, asinine laws?

And secondly, KOT, how do you know about these laws? Maybe your drivers education course was just WAY more advanced than mine.

    Cornering lights...

My old Seville had them, and they were great for night driving / parking! Heck, even my '86 Town Car had them.

Lmao yes we do. We do get very cold winters but our summers are very hot. We often get in the mid to high 90's before the humidex. We have very humid temps here and it gets hot and sticky as hell. I would love to have A/c seats. I do a lot of trailering for my buddy. I often go get heavy loads for him like tractors and other heavy equipment cause I have an AZ license. Anyways, his 2013 Duramax has A/C seats and it is amazing!!!

Try it here in Texas. I hate leather seats for a reason... (all of my other cars are cloth).

Oh I believe it man. Some members on here actually lost all their marbles one day and moved to the desert lol. I would like the newer CTS seats with the suede inserts. That would help a lot.
