Radio, Onstar and chimes are not working

I own an 2007 CTS. The problem that I am having is the radio will come on without sound. It looks normal like it is working but with no sound. There are no chimes when the key is put in. The onstar looks to be working but no sound. I have pulled the plugs on the amp in the trunk and then reinstalled. I tested the amp fuse and the radio fuse under the rear seat and they are ok. It seems anything associated with the speakers in the car does not work. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
    Thanks, Darrell

Most of the speakers are tied into the bose amplifier, my guess would be that its possibly the amp gone bad, worth checking the power inputs and testing that it is grounding to the chassis correctly with a Digital multimeter.

I had this problem when I first bought my CTS from auction. Literally all the same symptoms, no sound, no chime, no change with DIC interactions. It turned out to be the bose amplifier. While I realize matt said he tried that and it didn't work, I would double check the connections to the amp as they can be difficult. Also beware where you buy the amp from I bought one on ebay and I was sent a broken one thankfully paypal had my back and all was resolved. I think I picked mine up in the end for around $150, compared to the $800 or $500 (I can't remember) that the stealer-ship wanted.

I've sent you a private message with some links that should help you, cross reference those numbers on the amps against the one in your trunk. Let me know if you need help accessing the amp itself.
