AngryHelp please! !!! Gas issues or not? ??

I have a 2006 Cadillac cts. . After putting gas in it last month it acted as if it didn't want to start. . The same way as it would if the starter is about to go. . Well the check engine light came on. So the next day I had it checked at a local auto parts store and I was told the starter was good. . However every time I put gas in no matter what kind it acts as if it doesn't want to start. . Please help

Sounds like a purge valve. The solenoid that needs replaced is a $50 part. Hour of labor.

That seems to be the fix for this more often than not.

More like 5-10 mins. of labour, if you are talking about the one on top of the engine.

May I step in for all you non-2006 model year. Since the OP has a 2006, the purge valve solenoid would be replaced for free. That is if all the blocks fall into place.

OP, what was the code that was pulled at the parts store? Did they leave in there, or did they clear it?

Yep, I have a 2007 cts and I replaced the purge solenoid and it took 5 minutes, it was on top of the motor on the passenger side.
