I have a 5-speed manual, but I do know the 6-speeds can have an issue getting into reverse if the shifter bushings go bad...

OK I have a 2.8 with the aisin 6 speed and it's love hate. Mine has the g80 positraction 3.73 rear end which is way too low when combined with the low gearing of the tranny. Think 2800 to 3000 rpms at 70 mph, so mileage sucks. Only 6th is overdrive, 5th is 1:1. Speaking of which, first gear is ridiculously low and the spacing between it and second is borderline stupid. Combine that with the inertia of the massive dual mass flywheel(which can't or should I say shouldnt be resurfaced at a clutch change) make gear changes slow since you have to wait while the revs drop excruciatingly slow. Spec clutches makes a replacement standard flywheel out of aluminum to ditch that boat anchor. We can thank the camaro guys for that, same aisin setup in a new v6 manual camaro. Had to do the shifter bushings and obviously a clutch no reliability problems that an auto wouldn't have. On a side note the emergency brake is useless for hill holding since we don't be a lever at the console same stupid foot pedal the autos have with the release above the hood opener. Besides that this car is a pile of cr*p. I have never owned a maintenance hog like this ever. I have a 68 corvette roadster, have had a 96 and 05 Grand Cherokees, a BMW, 78 AND 72 VETTES and nothing even close to this thing in reliability. Who has changed a water pump on a car in a parking lot with 45k on it? ME, three weeks out of warranty. New $650 driveshaft, motor mounts that leak, sensors, solenoids, neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal and on and on. When the check engine light isn't on and the vibrations are all temporarily at bay, there isn't any other 4 door sports sedan I would rather be driving. Biggest problem is parts, GM wants to sell components not parts, replace the control arm front end bushings, NO WAY, we'll sell you $300 dollar control arms(each). Drive shaft flex disks, most bushings, same thing. Well my timing chains are rattling so that's next on the list. My girlfriend said you bought a hobby not a car. It does have personality lol.

3.73 LSD was never an option in the V6's. What size are your tires?
