I picked this car up back in ...
I picked this car up back in december.
It sat for a while because i had other things to do.
Then i took it out one day to my sound guy so i could go over a few things and i'm on the road for maybe 15 minutes and bam! Some lady runs into the back of me. Got my bumper, trunk, nick in the quarter, asorber bar, and passenger side exhaust. No biggie, most of that stuff had to come off anyway.
So now i have to start on it because the insurance company wants to repair the damages. I start by taking apart the interior apart. Removing the seats, and trunk lining. This will make it easier for the stereo guy
Look like someone forgot there stash.
Hoods off new hood on the way. Might as well change the plugs and air filter, cabin filter and oil while i'm in there.
Sitting at the shop waiting it's turn. Had to put the hood back on because it was going to sit outside a couple of days and rain was on the way.
I got to get a few things off my old car before they sent it off. The lady at the insurance company said as long as i put the original back on i could take off what i wanted. Got to get my headlights, fog lights, wheels, rear spoiler, front sports grille and lower V grille, (did not have a replacement for that). I would have taken the V bumper but i could not find a replacement in time.
Hood came in, had it delivered to the body shop. Mona over at extreme composites was great to work with.
Found a member on here who was looking for a rear bumper who also had a V front bumper for sale. So i traded him A good V rear bumper for the V front bumper. I figured it would be easier for me to find another rear bumper than a front bumper. Found another rear bumper and had it painted along with the front bumper and hood.
It's a fiberglass hood from Extreme Composites. I think quite a few people on here have used this hood. I'm going to relocate the washers to the wiper arms. Hoods painted and minor body work done ready to take it home.
Got it in my shop ready to put on trunk, front and rear bumpers, and rocker panels.
