    help with airbag light

    i recently installed an after market head unit into my cts. now the airbag light is on. i purchased the proper wire harness ann everything so i cant seem to figure out whats wrong. a couple people have said i should try resetting the light but i dont know how. so any help here would be appreciated thanks in advance...

    You can't reset an air bag light in a GM car. They do it on their own. So since the light is still on, the problem is still there. Your local part store maybe able to scan it for free. But it all depends on the scanner they use. If its a cheap, which it might as well be, then it won't see the air bag computer.

    It shouldn't, but you can try. Heck, disconnecting the battery would be better. You'll just have to reprogram the express windows up and set the clock.

    Sometimes when fat people sit in my car the Airbag light goes on. I turn the car off and remove the key, go under each of the front seats and disconnect and reconnect the yellow connector. that seems to reset the light for me. Sometimes I have to do it twice but be sure that car is off when you do it.
