    Speedometer and odometer not working

2007 CTS - My speedometer and odometer quit working the other day. Everything else in the instrument cluster is working fine. In the DIC, the range and instant MPG are not working either. Does anyone know if there is a fuse for this circuit or is it probably a speed sensor needing replaced? Also, no codes come up with my code reader.

Have you tried unhooking your negetive batery terminal for a few minutes, never seen one do what yours is doing, thats definitely weird.

I think the signal for that feeds through the DIC then to the Speedo. Have you changed the DIC in any way? It may be worth it to remive the DIC and re-seat the cables.

I wish the VSS went through the radio. If were the case, installing my navi would if been a lot easier.

worth checking the seating of the gauges, might just be that they are a little loose, apply some pressure to the clocks to see if the needle bounces or not

I have never touched the DIC or anything on the dash for that matter.

Sounds like it might be the speed sensor then???
