quick question about factory nav unit

Im selling my factory nav unit and the potential buyer will only buy if he knows its xm compatible .So long story short I just need to know if it is. I bought it out of an 05 cts-v and did the swap into my 03 non nav cts. My car never had xm installed so the menu never showed the xm bands . I thought all the cts-v nav units supported xm . Part number is 10373847. thanks

Yes it is supported as along as they have the XM option. I did the swap on my 03 base and noticed the XM channel the very first time I flicked thru the bands. It went way after that because I don't have the option.

Re: quick question about factory nav unit

Let me ask my question. If I buy a Unit with navigation and put in my Cadillac without navigation whether to run diagnostics system? I have heard that I have to completely reprogram this Navigation Unit with the dealer. Is that true?

Yeah its true, not necessarily a dealer but you have to plug a TECH-2 controller into it and it bonds the nab unit with your cars computer. To my knowledge only dealers and aftermarket audio places have TECH-2 controllers.
