Hard starting every time I get gas

My car has a hard time starting after I get gas. It does the same thing every time. It tries to start after a couple of cranks but then stalls. Then it turns over for a while before it finally starts but then runs rough. The engine will finally pick up RPMs if I hold the accelerator down. It kind of sounds like its flooded and then it clears.

It only does this when I get gas not when I stop really quick at a store or something so I'm thinking it has somwthing to do with taking off the gas cap.

Only on the 2006 model year. 03 to 05 got screwed out of everything. While the 06 got screwed out of timing chain, but got the purge valve solenoid. Then the 07 got screwed out of the purge valve solenoid but got the timing chain.

Fifty bucks for a purge solenoid is nothing compared to what it costs to replace timing chains.

    '07 FTW !!!

Re: Hard starting every time I get gas

Is it the vent solenoid, or the canister solenoid?

I had the purge vent solenoid and that didn't fix the problem, but the purge canister solenoid and it did. It's the one with the hose attachment.

The 3.2 seems to act different under these conditions. But for the 2.8 and 3.6, it's that piece that is above the engine.
