    I have a 2003 CTS and will not start...when I turn the key it sounds as if its gonna it
    crank but it dont..the motor
    shakes as if its trying to start but it don't and even when I take my hand off the key It continues to shake as if its gonna start...I have a half tank of gas by the way... PLS HELP

    Crankshaft position sensor, I'd put money on it.

    Pull the trouble codes, you can do that yourself in the 03's without a scan tool.

    A crank sensor won't always throw a code, just fyi. It is a very common problem on the 3.2 though. It's a pretty safe bet.
