Coolant burning in oil
New guy here... Recently purchased a 2003 CTS used. There is a white film under the oil fill cap (coolant where it is not supposed to be).
I am currently a member on another forum site for Pontiac Grand Am's. This is a common issue for those types of engines (60 degree V6's) of being the LIM Gasket (until they upgraded their gaskets from the factory in late 2004/2005) failure as seen here: http://www.floridagmclub.com/f59/lim...faq-3400-a-23/
I was wondering if anyone knows a definite cause for this in the 54 degree V6 motors.
Thanks for looking and hope to get a few good replies.
In the meantime I am going to keep trying to look for an answer.

Oil cooler, it's a wierd set up but trust me. Done it before when I had the same problem as many others with the 3.2 in the 2003. Happy wrenching

Thanks for the replies... Going to definitely be doing some wrenching... Anything else I should replace while I am in there?
