This can be made to work for any style radio depending on how much effort you put in there, but obviously a screen based radio will look best in there.

    Good luck.

I read through the whole procedure already. But I'm not willing to risk damaging my circuit board or cutting at the wrong place.. Etc.
What I'm looking for is someone that offers this service on this forum.

You might find someone that will do it for you, but if you want my suggestion this is what I would do to avoid damaging my original unit.

Find a cheap ebay unit that works / works but CD player doesn't. Work on it at your own pace and carefully, once you have it the way you want it, swap your unit with it, then take it to the dealer for reprogramming.

Im on my 3rd one. After the 1st it becomes easier and quicker. I've never had to reprogram mine and it's never the radio that came out of the car that goes back in. guess i've been lucky so far.

If you're not going to ship it to Canada, I'd be willing to buy it. I live in the States.

Would you be interested in modding one for me?

Put a piece of 180 grit self adhesive sandpaper on a flat putty knife and smooth down those edges, man. It'll give it a much cleaner look. For the corners, put the sandpaper on a square shaft screwdriver (big Craftsman flat blade). Here's mine.
