    New Tires

Stock tires are pretty much bald by now on my 04 CTS. Looking to get a new set of 4 really soon. Wondering what people recommend for price/performance.

    Re: New Tires

What's your budget? Where do you live? Are you looking for all-season tires? What sort of mileage are you hoping to get out of a set of tires? Have you spent any time searching on Discount Tire Direct or Tire Rack?

Michelline Primacy MXM4 that's what I put on my 18" non-snow tires. I wanted excellent non-snow and light snow grip, they get great reviews on TireRack and Tire Rack and Michelline had $70 rebate on top of that on them, can't go wrong with those if all-season replacement is what you seek.

I picked up a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's a few months ago. So far, so good. They have good grip and ride nice and very reasonably priced.

I just put on some Falken 453's. awesome tire. I just pounded them on the tail of the dragon and they had amazing dry traction and were super in the rain on the way there! Great price too!!!

I'm with Curtc. The DWS are quiet and handle well. Got 'em last month at Discount Tire for $120/ea. That's the 16" ones.

Thw Dws are good but if you looking for steering response look elsewhere... Soft ride like the other post said and sidewall is soft and flexes a little too much IMO... I have 60k on my set and the "S" is still showing but about to wear off soon. Good in the snow.

    Re: New Tires

If you are looking for something more value priced, I put Hankook V2 concepts on mine, the have about 2000 miles on them. For the price I'm pretty pleased, the ride is comfortable but not disconnected, the wet traction is awesome and they handle pretty good. I got them at Discount Tire online for $100 a piece shipped for free.

I love my Continental Extreme Contact DWS. Great traction on all surfaces, great handling, and smooth, quiet ride. What more can you ask for?

Made a post for some pics. I will have some vids up soon. I didn't have time to get the sways. They would have helped a lot. Going to modify my Mini Cooper S to take next year. But, I will be adding sways and a bigger set of brakes and an exhaust and isolator and rip it up again in a couple years!!!
