Coil spring question for 03 cts

I've got a 03 cadillac cts luxury sport that is leaning to one side in the rear. It's about 1 inch lower. I've been told that its my FE3 shocks that are causing this but all I can think is that shocks don't hold up weight, coil springs do... I've found a bunch of soft ride coil springs at auto wreckers. So I guess my question is:
Can I swap some soft ride rear coil springs with my sport suspension coil springs. Will it change the height, and will it cause any issues?

Can you, yes. Should you, no. They will physically fit no problem but the cars have different spring rates and will probably ride/corner like crap. I'm guessing the shock is your problem. Good luck, FE3 shocks are def not el cheapo. I need new ones and just ordered D2 coilovers off eBay. Best I could find for FE3 OEM rears was about $180 each. Fronts were about $90. After considering lowering the car and modifying the shocks to do so, I just decided that coilovers were the way to go. If just replacing shocks and not interested in lowering then I would have just bought the shocks. Sorry for the bad answer but it's just my gut feeling. At least at the end of the day you drive a caddy and not a Honda

Springs are the same on fe1 , fe2 and fe3. Shocks are the diferent part.

If changing the springs, do both left and right to match, or you will have even more chevy-lean.

The fe3 is load leveling, so if one shock is blown it may sit a little lower.
