    Cts 3.6

Just purchased a CTS for cheap it needed a new head gasket so it's in the shop now getting everything taken care of the car seems amazing but I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. How does everyone feel about theirs? I hope I made a good decision...

You bought a car that you've never driven and with a blown head gasket - what could possibly go wrong?

I knew what was wrong with it and how much it would cost no worries.

    Re: Cts 3.6

I've owned a CTS now for about 14 hours as of the time I wrote this message. I am absolutely thrilled with it. (2004 model with 3.6 L engine)

I've wanted a CTS for several years, ever since I rented one and didn't want to return it.

Make very sure that the mechanic who's working on your car knows exactly what GM's torque specs are on the head bolts, and that he is using NEW head bolts.

No guessing. No reusing bolts. Do it right and it won't bite you again.

I'm sure you will really like the car.

The mechanic is very knowledgable about the vehicle and told me all about the bolts and what goes into the job I would have done it myself if it weren't for how specific things had to be.
