Kind of hard to adjust valves on a DOHC engine.

Aren't they hydraulic lifters on these motors? Hydro lifters 99 times out of 100 don't need to be adjusted.

There is no valve adjustment.....if your valve train is noisy there are deeper issues. Make sure it is not the injectors your hearing (DI injectors are very loud).

How many miles on the motor? Ever run oil low? have you always run full synthetic? (timing chain issues).

You may have a worn follower. Remove the valve cover and with the cam lobe facing up feel each for excess play. Your also due for a timing chain replacement to avoid jumped timing.

Due for a timing chain replacement? Isn't the chain supposed to be fine for the life of the motor? Unless it develops slack or snaps.

    Re: Valve adjustment ? 's

Are there any codes associated with timing showing up? because when the timing chains stretch, the tensioners fail, or the chain guides wear these can change the timing causing the valves to be slightly touch the pistons and overtime can break your valves. The 3.6 liter engine has quite problems with timing chains. There is no valve adjustments that can be done to this model of heads.

    Re: Valve adjustment ? 's

Yes you will get a CEL once the timing chain is stretched far enough. I don't remember what it is but it seems to show up when the timing chains are far past just being noisy. You should probably just change the timing chains and not wait for a code to show up or the chains to break.
