    HID fog lights

Looked in the DIY section and couldn't find anything. Anyone put HID's in their fog lights? Big Job? What is the bulb in the fog light? I pan on getting clear ones but I want to do the HID's on the stockers for now.

    Thanks

    Re: HID fog lights

I did. I just removed the belly pan & accessed the fogs from there.I think the stock bulbs are H10. Hardest part was deciding where to put the ballasts.
Pretty easy job. There are a few posts on this, just search.

9145, 3175 isn't a halogen bulb, or even a bulb number. I retro fitted 9005' in my fog lights 2 years ago and still no issues.

Just trim the one tab a little bit and will fit right in.

Be careful on dark roads, they seem to blind the oncomming traffic.

I would def go with a 6000k or so. I want it to be the same color as the factory HID's. guess I will have to change the headlight triangle bulb too. That will look silly if I don't.

I made that mistake. Had 10000k hids in at one time and those halogen triangle bulbs looked awful

    Re: HID fog lights

I have 8000k(too blue) in mine, don't get flashed, cops don't bother me, but I want to swap out to 5000k or 6000k so they match the headlights better.
They a good job of lighting up to the sides on the dark roads around here. Can see the critters before they get on the road.
