Hi so for the first time last week I drove my car to the gym & I forgot my gym card at home so I go back to my car and it wouldnt start so I got a jump and everything was fine until this morning I tried to start my car but it wouldnt start again.
When I turn the key all the lights come on, radio works everything is good, but it makes a clicking noise and the analog clock goes crazy.
I just had the same problem two days ago. Your battery is probably no good. I changed my battery and all is good!!! I have a fairly new thread on here called "Need help my car won't start". A lot of members added some info. Almost all said it was the battery.
My battery worked like a champ right up until the day it died. The computer on the DIC always said 14.9 volts or so, but the day it died, I got a jump from a neighbor and on a multimeter it was showing about 12.2 with a load on. Stupid me went on a road trip thinking it would charge back up. 4 hours driving and I decided it was time to pull over and fill up with gas and stretch my legs. Car wouldn't start at all. Battery then read 8 volts after driving 4 hours. The fun part was finding a Walmart open 24 hours (it was past midnight) in the middle of nowhere. Car ran fine with a jump, so I knew it was a one stop proposition. Luckily they had one (count them ONE!) of our batteries in stock.
Moral of the story, check the volts with a multi-meter. And change the battery at the first sign of trouble.
