My car has depreciated $5,000 in 3 /12 years. Does that sound right?

I bought it in early 2010 for $11,500 it had 72,000K (115872.77 Kilometers) miles on it

Seems a little excessive, did I overpay?

Cant believe this type of a luxury car is worth less than some early 90s, late 80s BMWs. I could buy a lightly used GSXR, R6 or CBR for $4500.

In February 2010 I paid 13,500 for the car, 14,500 OTD with 65,000miles. I now have 106,000 miles an kbb says its worth 8,623 Trade-in and 11,248 private sell. $3,252 for 3 years and 41k miles, I'd say is pretty good.

I would say, this used to be excessive depreciation. Now days there is a lot of competition in the "luxury sport sedan" market. You will see even more depreciation in those high end German sedans. I say F*** IT, I'ts something I can't control & I enjoy driving the car.

Look at it this way. Your car is 10 years old now. Its gonna depreciate. I paid $10k for mine a year ago and its and 07 with 70k miles.

I paid 9.5k for my 03 with 61k miles on it back in late '09, and when it wrecked, it was valued at over 10k.
