    How to reset transmission fluid

    Ok so I swapped out the transmission and put new transmission fluid but on the dic it still say the precent of life the old one had how do I reset it

    Should be the same way as the oil. Press and hold the CLR button until XXX and then 100% shows up.

    I did that but the number stayed the same

    Mine has never changed. On the old trans, fluid was grey when drained and the monitor was still at 100%. I have put a reman trans and has about 20k miles and still at 100%. The 2003s trans fluid monitor don't seem to really work.

    2003 trans fluid life monitor is just along for the ride. It was later changed to be functional but on 03's they stay at 100%.

    Correct, there was a software problem with the 2003. I don't remember if there was a fix though.
