    Heated Seat Issue

It doesnt shut off. I can get in the car and not turn on the heated seats but they come on. Then I turn it on and hear the click and turn it off and hear the click but they still remain on.

    Anyone have this issue before?

Never heard of this. Are they factory or aftermarket heated seats?

Are you sure the switch button is fully retracting, it could be sticking 'on'.

You may have to dig into the centre stack. I don't envy you there.
I hope you find the cure without spending a ton of $$$$$. Maybe you could unplug them or pull the fuse.

    Re: Heated Seat Issue

It isnt a huge problem now that it is 25 degrees in chicago but in the summer that just wont work. Im gonna keep digging around to see if I can find an answer.

Now I did think of this, it was happening about 2 months ago for a couple weeks and then it stopped. Now it is back again.

    Re: Heated Seat Issue

Smoke, do you by chance have an aftermarket autostart installed? the reason i ask is because i have one installed on mine and i have purchased a module that is connected thru the GM lan bus, this connection allows me to intergrate the auto start module with factory features. such as i can turn on my seat heaters and rear defrost or open windows etc. if you have this type of module it could be acting up.

any time the seat heaters are on they show up on the HVAC panel.

If no to the above, have you checked the wiring harness under your seat? are there any wires that appear to be fused together? MY ESV had a seat heater issue becuase of the wiring harness gets hot and burns out, they had to cut the old harness and install a new one.

No aftermarket start. I will look at the wiring harness. The DIC will go from hi to low sometimes it just goes to hi and turns off. Sometimes when I go to turn it off it does not turn off then maybe a minute later it turns off from the DIC

How comfortable do you feel in removing the climate control and taking it apart to clean the contacts? Because it sounds like there are some sticky buttons.
