    Some issues

Hello everyone, today I got a Magnaflow muffler and x-pipe installed on my CTS and I have a K&N cold air intake. (took the idea from a guy here). Anyway, when I was driving it home I noticed the engine "stuttering" and when I accelerated the Check Engine light came on, it also idled very roughly. I took it back to the shop and them told me it would take time for the computer to adjust to the new airflow. They told me to drive it for a few days to let the computer adjust and if that doesn't work then take it to Cadillac and have them reprogram. Do you guys think that's what it is? I want to make sure I check every possible solution.

Go to Auto Zone and have them scan the car since the engine light is on.

    Then report back here.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to Auto Zone and got it scanned, cylinder 1 is misfiring.

    Re: Some issues

It could be just coincidence that it happen now. Most likely had nothing to do with the exhaust change at all. I don't know how your mechanical skillz are, but here you go.

    http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...ug-change.html

What I would do, and actually done. Is to remove the coil pack and spark plug from cylinder 1. Swap the spark plug with cylinder 5's plug. And swap the coil pack with cylinder 6's coil pack. So if it miss fires after the swap, scan it again to see where to misfire is. If it's in cylinder 5, then replace the plug. If it's in cylinder 6, then it's the coil pack. The reason why I said to swap them with cylinders 5 and 6, is because you don't have to remove the upper intake again to get to those two.

However, if the misfire is still in cylinder 1. Then there are other problems, such as fuel injector.
