    chlapec10,

I have been somewhat following this thread. So I don't have to go through all the postings again, I'll just ask this...

How do you feel about having just the headlight, low beams of course, be on for this regulation?

I ask, because I could figure out for you on how to do that if you like to have it like that.

    Thanks King

Well, honestly, I would rather install the LED's to save the bulbs. They also sell DRL adapters here, that make the lights go on automatically,

    SO...

I ordered the separate bulb set... unfortunately there was no space for it in the front bumber after I installed the parking sensors....
Today I ordered these strips http://www.ebay.de/itm/330665228607?...84.m1497.l2649
I will probably stick them on the bottom of the headlight or alternative on the spot between the headlight and the grill

What did you wire them to? I purchased a set and put them right were you put yours underside of bottom headlight ran the wires between bumper but can't seem to find a wire to hook them up to. I want them to come on with my drl's. Anyone know where I can wire these strips to without using the fusebox? Thanks

I have hid fogs and tyres to wire them somehow to the connector. Did not work, I really am not that great with wiring things but if anyone has these led strips please let me know where and how to wire them. Like I said there isn't enough wiring to go to the fuse box so I have to connect them somewhere near the fog light area behind wheel wheel.

Crazily enough, the wiring for the DRLs and fog lights is right in that area! If you want them to come on with the DRLs, it would seem to make sense to tap off the DRL wiring, which is right below where you've apparently added the LEDs. Of course, connecting to the DRL wiring means your new LEDs are going to flash with the turn signals, since the DRLs are also your turn signals. The only way to make them come on with the DRLs but not flash is going to be tapping in to the fuse box.

If you're really not that comfortable with this project, then take the car to a stereo/alarm install shop - they should easily be able to manage it.

When you say tap off, do you mean splicing the wiring and connecting it to the wires itself? Like I mentioned yesterday I tried to wire them into the fog light hid connectors they worked but the wires which are thin as hell on the strips just came off. So basically I have to splice some wires to tap into is what your saying? Thanks for your input by the way.

Re: Where to install DRL LEDs on a CTS

First of all, my kit also contained a DRL control module.. both strips are connected to it..
The module is connected to power, ground and headlight (for control), this is because by law in europe DRLs have to be turned off when headlights are on and vice-versa... so when the headlights are on, it is detected by the module through the cable and it turns off the strips, when the headlights are turned off the module switches the strips...

Well I put them in yesterday but don't know if I did it correctly. I basically disconnected the connection from my hid fogs to the ballast stuck the wires in the connectors positive to positive then snapped the connectors back in and it works when I turn my fogs on. Don't know if this is the right approach but it works.
