    car problem

    ok when i reave my car up in park it only goes to 3 rpm won't go any farther sounds like a problem to me any any one tell me a reason why

    there is a rev limiter while in park

    That's no problem what so ever. Every GM car now a days are designed like that. As a matter of fact, the newer cars actually displays "Engine overspeed" or something like that. The new XTS does at least.

    But as you probably already tested out, it doesn't limit itself at 3grand when in gear. My previous 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix had a rev limiter at either 3 or 4grand. Unlike ours, it would balance around. Where as ours stays steady at 3grand.

    I would'nt advise reving your engine in park, not exactly good for it...
