2003 CTS auto trans filter (which one?)

Just bought an '03 CTS. First thing I'm doing is changing all fluids. Want to purchase a new transmission filter but I'm confused. If I look up a replacement on a site such as rock auto it shows that there are a couple of different part numbers for the same brand (mainly looking at AC delco).
AC Delco part # 96042545 or # 96041844 show that they are both compatible with my '03. Which one is accurate? I would consider other brands as well. Want to get this ordered now so I can get it done. Can anyone give me an exact part number for my '03? Thanks!

I bought mine from oreillys they only have one style I think but pretty much all kits come with the neoprene gaskets unless ordered online. Cadillac told me there is a number above the pan that will tell you which style you need. Guess they made 2 different kinds in 03. Mine wasn't the shallow mount. So see what numbers you have then call Cadillac to see which one you need.

When ordering parts I would give your vin number to the supplier so they can find the correct fitments for you, nothing worse than opening up the pan to find its a different part!

They cannot tell you which one you need by the VIN or RPO. There is a tag on the driver's side of the transmission that will tell you. It should read either 3GAG or 3GBG. The 3GAG is the cheap one, which I believe O'reilly's carries. The 3GBG is the more expensive one and I believe it is dealer only for that filter.
