    Yaw Sensor and Module

there was a previous post about this where the guy said the connectors were just not working...my car started to lock up and throw me to the left. I took it to the dealership and after a day they told me the yaw sensor and module wiring shorted and both needed replaced. Would shorting ruin them? i could see maybe the sensor but the module too?

they want $2,200 to replace them...seems high! can i get used parts or can i use the after market at autozone?

i just want to make sure they are not ripping me off here...i need my car back asap but i know i can't drive it the way it was acting up..

    any info appreciated!

    Re: Yaw Sensor and Module

That sounds ridiculous. I had the same thing happen to my 03 twice, it was the Steering Wheel Position Sensor(I.E. yaw sensor). I highly doubt you need the module(EBCM). I have seen bad EBCM's but they usually don't act like that. If you can list codes I could help you more but the Steering Position Sensor should not cost more than $3-400.

Define shorting out. What wire shorted to where? Did a 12volt wire short to the sensor wire? And that wire only has 3 volts on it? Which will explain why the module and sensor both blew.

As for the price, I have no idea what so ever.
