You might have had water get on some electrical connectors. Try and get under the car to see what could have got wet. Take them apart and clean them with electrical contact cleaner. Do the same for the top of the engine compartment, look and see if any electrical got wet. Disconnect the battery, then re-connect it. See if that deletes the error message. My wife had a bad rain storm at work last friday, there was 8"+ of standing water, she drove through it just fine. With no problems...

First thing to check would be the oil. If that is at the proper level, and not milky then look into sensors and whatnot.
If its excessively dark, milky, low or if the engine makes ticking/knocking noises then it's likely got nothing to do with the electrical system lol.

Could be either or... I seriously doubt she blew the motor or cracked the block by driving through water! But who knows. Anything is possible. But yes, common sense would be to check the oil and raditor, guess i was assuming it was done.

Did you have your under engine splash guard in place? Is it missing? Just trying to get an idea of how much water got where.

This could be another case of misinterpretting the real function of the OLM.

    Re: Drove thru water help

there is a oil pressure sensor on the front of the engine. it works based off it being given a signal of low pressure, not it cutting the signal out.
this means if you unplug the sensor you will not have the warning.

if you receive this message you either have a bad sensor, or low oil pressure.
change out the sensor...still have the warning do a compression test.

We still don't know if the OP actually checked the oil yet. Or ever.
