    Traction Control Issue

Recently bought a 03' Cadillac CTS & the this morning the TC light comes on and it slows the car down to about 5-10 mph & the check engine light too. I just bought it & it already had problems? I've seen so many people with this issue on the forums. I'm guessing I'll have to get the codes checked? What else?

You'll learn how to check your own codes, since you have an 03.

In the mean time, what size tires are on your CTS. Obviously those are aftermarket it wheels, but we need to know if the tires are matched perfectly for the car. Also, make sure that all four tires are at 30PSI, no matter the size of the tires. Of course you have to measure the tire pressure after it's been sitting for at least 5 hours.

    Re: Traction Control Issue

The 03 has its own code reading ability.

You can turn the car on while the check engine light is on, and hold F1 and F6 until it loads up. Then press SEL (the volume knob, press it in) and then the codes should show up. Codes like P0304C, P0128H, U1016C, etc. Write 'em all down in each module, and then post up here.

Does it happen within the first few minutes of turning the car on from a cold start? Did you get a chance to test drive the car before you bought it? Post up the codes once you get em.
