    Oil consumption

I have just recently purchased a used 2005 CTS with 80k miles. The engine runs fine but it uses 1 qt every 500 miles. Seems excessive to me. No loss of oil do to leaks. Used Mobil 1 as recommended and just put in 1 qt of Lucus stablizer for the quart that is low. Any suggestions?

Suggestions? Yeah...there is a huge thread on here regarding a fix to the oil consumption issue. Involves pulling and drilling out the PCV orifice. Search for the topic and you'll see a great write up complete with pictures.

There is a SEARCH option at the top right side of the page.
It works amazingly. I think proper spelling counts, or at least will help, though.
