Chipped Keys vs. a Water Park?

Going to a water park this weekend with family and figured I can leave the remote and various other keys IN the car except the actual car key itself...which I'd actually need at the end of the day....Can I get wet with this in my pocket however? Will it work fine and such after? You'd probably say leave it in the girlfriends bag/purse but I'd rather have in on me.

Dont they have lockers you can rent for the day? Keeping a key on you at a water park is probably not the best idea in the world.

I am not agreeing with him not because of the chip, but because of safety. You could go down a slide and the key jabs you. And it's always the possibility of losing it.

But to answer your question, that "chip" is completely sealed in the key. So getting it wet is not a problem.

Here is where it's nice to have a "Valet Key" that only opens the doors and does nothing else (No laser in it obviously).

I always keep one in my wallet, real nice for if you lock your keys in the car too because you always usually have the wallet in your pocket :P

key is waterproof. my caddy logo fell off and you can see white plastic under it but its been wet a few times, no issues. (never submerged but wet)
still, put it in a ziplock bag.. or keep a spare in the car just incase.
