Manual passenger seat convert to power

The passenger seat on my CTS is manual, but I found on a junk yard a CTS with power passenger seat on very good conditions. I would like to get the power system and install it on my car.
Any ideas or suggestions? Any issue I have to considerate?

    Regards

Look under the seat and see if there is a plug there. It's possible that the power is allready there. You would have to find the heater control with the heat switches to make the heat work

His car wouldn't have the heated controls. The new seat will though.

If the harness is there for power to the new seat, great. But make sure the fuse is in place in the fuse box behind it.

Because the CTS' that came with the manual passenger seat didn't come with the heated seat option. Just like HID headlights didn't come with 16" wheels. :-)

I know the mustang I used to have had manual seats and I bought leather power ones and all I needed was the power plug. It was allready there under the carpet just had to fish it out and plug it in. Of coarse thats ford vs GM

Only in the US, KOT. In Canada, the heated seats came standard, even with base seats.

Finally I did, I just upgrade the passenger seat to all electric. On the next few days I will post pics and details and how to do this. it's a 2-3 hours job.

I don't think he did. I can't remember a single picture and I read all the threads.

Re: Manual passenger seat convert to power

I've just read about a thousand posts about the seats and not one of 'em gives a definitive answer to the question: is the power seat out of an 05 a plug and play install?

I tried to order the passenger side reclining handle (manual) and it is no longer in production...and apparently no aftermarket solution is available...imagine that.
