I'm very suspicious of CR ratings. It seems the difference between a good car and a bad one, according to the article, is whether the cup holder lid falls off.

Good news for the CTS though, because CR has been killing it the last 3 years. Hard to believe they could be that wrong for so long.

They are very biased against American cars, and other American products! I'd trust Car and Driver or Motor Trend first!

When it comes to ratings..one report we should look at more often is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety...CTS Gets good marks across the board....

I don't know the drivers at CR, but I think that Road and Track had already said it all in their June 2004 article when they did their comparison test. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=1337

JD Power is more consistent/accurate. CR has lingering credibility issues.

It always amazed me how superior an Asian badged vehicle will be than a Domestic badged vehicle in CR. I wouldn't be surprised if CR thought the Matrix was far superior to the Vibe, even though they are the same vehicle under the nameplate. I think a lot of this has to do with their data is based on opinions, not facts.

Interesting, no side crash tests for Cadillacs.
