    wheel upgrade question

I am considering 18" X 7.5" wheels that have a 42 mm offset. My concern is will 42mm be good. I definitely don't want to have them to rub or contact the inside wheelwell. Thanks for your attention to my first post!

That should fit fine. Just make sure the tires are 225/45-18.

i thought the best set up for a cts is: 245/35/20 20x8.5 40mmoffset and 5x115 bolt pattern.. anyone comment?\

EDIT: if your using a 20" rim

Same exact dimensions of my Exel Radius wheels. No rubbing anywhere, even with four adults and a trunk full of luggage. Perfect fit with 245-40x18 tires.

I think that's too agressive. with an 8" wide wheel, yes (as in 40mm offset), but with an 8.5" wheel, 45mm offset range would be much better.

Agreed. For best performance, don't got any wider than 225/45.

On the subject of does it fit: we've had this post before, but how many of you have wheels with a 114.3 lug spacing and not have a single problem with it? Most of the wheels that I've found I like have a 114.3 spacing, im just reluctant to do that.
