Service theft system + airbag light? Key stuck too? Need a new ECM?

Hello all I have been searching around on here for weeks trying to find the answer and the dealer diagnosis was a waste of 50 dollars!

The problem - service theft system is displaying key gets stuck in the ignition whenever you put it in tc control light on and next to my shift knob there is no orange light indicating what gear the car is in. + air bag light is on as well dont know if that is related or not?

The car runs and drives fine. through reading I have learned how to take the key out. No problems with start up etc as well.

My problem is I cant find a definite answer through searching around on what to do precisely about this problem.

Can I just get my ecm reflashed? do I need a new one then have it programmed? Everything I have read online says I need a new ECM. Im curious if I can get a used one put that in and have it reprogrammed?

Is there any sort of bypass I can buy and have that installed to bypass this entire issue?

Working on a budget here trying to get things straightened out any and all help is appareciated!

    Thanks
    Eric

It could be your ECM. Check your battery first to make sure it is good. The check engine light should illuminate with the key in the ON position as a self-check on the ECM.

Hey I just all of the exact same issues with my 2005 3.6l a few weeks ago. I tried to fix myself but had to end up taking it to a local shop. Unfortanetly it was the ECM. It had about 13 diagnostic codes including camshaft positon sensor, intake, cam solenoid,TCM EVAP purge solenoid low circuit voltage......as well as others. As soon as they swapped it cleared everything. It ran me about $750. Let me know if you need any more info.

Hey guys, same thing happened to me just disconnect the battery and connected again and check the post for corrosion or maybe you need a new battery.
