I removed my front plate finally. PICS

Unfortunately my car came from Illinois where a front plate is required, but Im in Michigan and its not the law here so its gone. I was going to wait until I went to my dads for the fourth of july to take it off but couldnt wait. So I went and bought a drill to get that thing off. Heres the pics of the process.

Heres is that honkin thing with 4 big ass rivets holding it on.

    Was pretty nasty under there.

    All cleaned up

These are the push pins I put in the holes, with white diamond pearl you have to lay down a white base coat and then do the pearl over that, then I put a clear over it to protect it alittle.

    Final product close up.

    Final product distance.

Nice work, I hate front plates. What kind of pins did you use? Where did you get them?

Thanks. Got them at advance auto, they are just normal push pins, the package said they were for a nissan, but that doesnt matter as long as they are the size you are looking for.

Now that was thinking outside of the box. Great job bro!

Oh, and you must of added at least 20 hp to that super slow white diamond. We all know that white diamond is the slowest car... right ghettomike?

Awesome, I would love to take mine off but not in Texas. Back when I had my 01 camaro a few years back it did not have a front plate (Aftermarket SLP Grill) and I got pulled over over 30 times for no front plate...30 times no joke...after 6-7 times I finally bought a front plate bracket and put it and the plate in my back seat and told the cops it fell off. Most of the time they would just let me go. When I first got my 2011 camaro a couple months ago it just had paper tags on the back and there was 2 times I saw cops whip around to come after me but backed off when they saw paper plates. Def a pain around here

Don't mind KOT, he's handing out false info. Unfortunately, white diamond is indeed the fastest color. There was a thread of a white diamond CTS running a 9.8 Quarter mile stock. LOL

I took my plate off too but I have those ugly holes, do those pins wiggle or are they a tight fit, whats the size on them?

You still have the bracket? If so, I would like to buy it. I moved from GA to MO and need a front plate. Been here a couple months with MO plates on the rear without being hassled but that probably won't last. I hate to have to put that thing on, the front is so clean without it - oh well. Thanks.
