Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. Next time I post pics I will have my windows and tail lights tinted and hopefully have the lexani rims I want mounted on.

I was also thinking of doing eyelids. Like this but without the yellow tint. Makes the car look mean

i havent seen a pic of this cts in a long time!

    personally, I like these

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CADIL...item2a040e0ab4

They are the 17" wheel perf package wheels from 06-07. 17" is the best size wheel for this car. Best balance of ride and handling.

those are nice too; the only problem is they have a larger diameter tire which will mess up your speedo and gearing. Unless you go with a smaller sidewall, which is just begging for impact damage.

they were stock on certain models, right?
and the spedo issue can be cleared up easily enough, right?

    Re: Pictures of cts-v bumper.

The 18" wheels, I am pretty sure, were the same overall tire size as the V. Which I know for fact were larger in diameter than the 17s on my CTS. And I don't think you can change the speedo without programming the PCM.

as an aside to this, I think the 17s on the CTS were a perfect overall size. I am trying to figure out why wheels/tires keep getting bigger and bigger with each model year. The tires on my Camaro are larger in diameter than most SUV tires from just a few years ago. It's getting ridiculous.

    Re: Pictures of cts-v bumper.

yes, a tech2 will be needed to get the spedo correct...

and those 18" wheels are RPO N87... which may have been a sport package only option

the CTS-V had 18" also but it was an 8.5" width while this one is 8" ... so the OD (overall/outside diameter) would probably be the same

and by the way... it was said up above, but bears repeating...

this is THE BEST MOD for a 1st gen CTS ... throw on a sport grille and the V bumper (w/ fogs if you don't have them) ... only thing left to mod (imho) is to color match the grey outline around the headlights to your body

Also, do all 2004 cts models have the power turbo button on main the console. Because somone is selling a cts and tells me that that button indicates the sport package.

don't say that around V guys. some of them get pissy when a V bumper is installed on a V6 CTS. apparently, it makes you a poser
