If you're talking about the Common issues, that never was links before.

Wrong forum there buddy. You're gonna want to go to the CTS-V section, http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...cts-v-general/

If the V engine is like the base V-6 engine as for the ECM, then it's located just above cylinder number 1.

Hey. KOT's right. Might wanna ask on the V section. But if I recall correctly, its on the driver side near the headlight, behind the bumper.

You may have a bad battery. Happened to my cadillac cts 2003.
you can try disconnecting the battery and connecting it back.. if the light in the dash go on just turn the key to ignition and then take it out. (i had a loose battery cable)

    ----------

    Hello people.

Ok so i have a first generation 2003 cadillac cts.. I have a problem in wich i think my cadillac cts is not responding the way it has to be. When i step on the gas it hassles to take off, I can hear the engine revin hard but the power is not beeing delivered to the weels. it makes this kind of noise like it has a leaf on the engine. Also when im doing 40 mph in the highway and i step full throttle i can hear the engine revin. on the dash the rpm shows 6 x1000 rmp. but the car goes nowhere. I have to take my foot of the peddal and press it again so the shift into gear. Can somebody help?

How to replace an alternator on a 2.8L, should be the same with a 3.6L.
