when I turn on the right-turn signal lights, it will also turn on the high-beams

Hi guys. I have a problem for my 2007 cts. It happened for most of time, not every time: when I turn on the right-turn signal lights, the high-beams also are lighted on at the same time. but for left-turn, always normal. What's the problem?any ideas? many thanks.

I know it is a stupid question but I have to ask, are you sure you are not bumping it forward just a tad when you hit the signal?
Next time you are in the car gently jiggle the turn signal/brights controls in all directions, see if any lights accidentally flip on, this would rule out the possibility of mechanical failure in the switch. The next thing I would do was make sure all light fuses are in working condition and cables were securely in place.
    ghettomike and ghettomike like this.

I tried in different ways. I found only when I turn on the right-turn signals, most of time it can also light on the high-beams, not every time. but when I turn on the left-turn signals, the problem never happened. I know the regular way to turn on the high-beams. I didn't bumper the lever forward when I turn on the right-turn signals.

I have an 07 SRX that starting doing that last week too. Happened 2 or 3 times since. At first, I thought I did bump the switch forward, but when I pulled the switch, my brights actually came on. I realized that at first only the bright light dash indicator came on, not the lights themselves. So I'm thinking either a short on the dash lights, or the multifunction switch is going bad.

If this helps... When you push the multi function lever forward. It turns on the high beams as well as the dash indicator. In this position the high beams stay ON. The same happens when you pull towards you, however once you let the lever go. It will go back to the OFF position. So the high beams and indicator does come on when you pull towards you.
