Hey if you guys end you doing the diff change before me, could you take some pics so it'll help me out. And if I end up doing mine first i'll do the same. Thanks. Also I got some limited slip additive too from the dealer. I still unsure weather I need to add that to my 04 CTS, 3.6L. But there's no harm in adding some is there?

im most likely going to use redline fluid with the gm LSD additive.. more slick is never a bad thing...as long as you have the proper gear oil weight you should be fine.
GAETANO i forgot to tell you im off work tomorrow and i found my carpet stream cleaner, if you want to do your car link me because we are setting it up to do my cts, julez jag, maybe even my jimmy...so if u want yers done come on by....
also could use a hand finding the loose part in the steering on the jag...Active green and Ross fuked with it to try and make more $...alignment needed tie rods, now all of a sudden there is a clunk in the steering and now they say it needs stabilizer link ends.. funny how all the parts they want to replace they have one good and one bad of on display...sounds like a scam to me..

I'm working a lot this week but hopefully I'll get it done by next weekend. In the mean time if someone could let me know if I should add the slip additive. I know the in Cadillac FAQ they used it but its for the CTS-V, wounder if its the same?

    Re: Transmission Fluid Change

Quick question I'm remember reading on the service manual that txbest sent me that it say in order to fill the transmission properly you must turn on the car and put the transmission in N.. Then continued filling as it start to over flow you then put the fill bolt back in.. It says if you shut off the vehicle before putting the fill bolt in. the transmission will spill the additional fluids that the torque converter holds... Sorry I just want this to be clear first before people start noticing any problem... If someone can post the procedure from the service manuel this should help out other member.. Sorry for any types o but posting on android swype is hard...

Great info. Just 2 questions though-- 1. My car is an 06 vette the bolts on the rear of the tranny pan look tough to get at anybody know which tool I can use to get to them and 2. I want to change ALL the fluid on this one and of course would like to do the torque converter at the same time as the pan. How do I drain the tc ?
    Thanks.
